About the Essay
Small towns are quiet, and many featured in this essay do not have street lights, or even paved roads. When making the journey to these small towns, I felt as if I was in the middle of nowhere. After spending time in these small towns, I have realized that this isolation gives a small town its identity. They are supposed to feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t somewhere.
